Muay Thai elbow blow techniques

When it comes to stand-up fighting, Elbow Strike is arguably the most devastating weapon you will find in your arsenal, thanks to Muay Thai. One can say it defines everything, and perhaps won’t be wrong.

Following the Left Step Up Knee techniques, the second episode of Round 2 is dedicated to the Right Elbow blow. It features Thai trainer Dechsak Sangmorakot and Australian model Lilian Dikmans, training at Kao Sok Muay Thai Gym in Perth, WA.

The video covers right over hand elbow-blow from both, long and short distances. In addition, the uppercut elbow counter strike is in the clip.

Shadow Muay Thai, bag work and padwork are on the list. You can also practice with a partner.

If you are looking for a detailed break-down of each particular elbow-blow techniques, Nathan Corbett is your man. After earning eleven world titles he retired from fighting and evolved as a teacher, launching his own Carnage Striking System.
